Contract for 6 new Travel Shops
Only a few month ago, Wöllhaf, one of the leading sevice tenders among German airports received the contract for the realization of two new cult gastronomical concepts (Ständige Vertretung, Berliner Kaffeerösterei) at the capital airport Berlin Brandenburg International (BER), which will be starting up business in 2012. Now the company has been once again very successful during the competition for shop space. Wöllhaf will be running six shops at the airport Willy Brandt in the near future with a variety of products for travellers.
In the best area, direct at the central market place, Wöllhaf transforms it’s new shop concept, „my Berlin“ a souvenir shop where the young and the young at heart find lovely things in modern surroundings which will remind them of Berlin after their departure. It follows the motto “once more all of Berlin, but only just to touch”.
A few steps on, Wöllhaf will be opening the Confiserie Felicitas. In co-operation with the creator of this trade-mark, who among other in Dresden and Potsdam has been very successful, the finest hand-manufactured chocolates and pralines are offered in this shop to give as a present or to enjoy oneself.
On the way to the gates the passengers find a further Wöllhaf store – “Spreewald and more”. Here the region of the Spreewald as well as the shop design and assortment play a central role. Predominately products and gift articles from the Spreewald and the area of Brandenburg are being offered.
The assortment includes classical souvenir articles as well as the traditional Spreewald pickles, sauerkraut or wine.
At the same time, the new shop concept “take away” is situated twice at the airport “Willy Brandt”. In pleasant surroundings a large selection of travel supplies are being offered. Wöllhaf places here a high value on specialities from Berlin, the region, and other parts of Germany.
Among these, are also products which are unobtainable at home. A good selection of traveller’s necessities round out the assortment of being offered.
History to touch and to take with you is what the travellers find in the Museum Shop “Friends of the Prussian Castles and Gardens”. The exclusive collection of gifts and memorable items reaches out from Thuringer porcelain through to beautiful picture volumes and decorative Prussian crowns.
More than 500 regional, national and international retail traders and tenders applied for the allotment of the total sixty-nine store spaces. The fact that Wöllhaf received six stores at one time speaks for itself. According to company manager Claus Wöllhaf: ” the area of trade has developed very well for us within the last years. We are very pleased that we are representet with Wöllhaf Retail GmbH and six new stores will be taking place in the future at the airport Willy Brandt.”
